Snow Day

Moving to Boston entails a ton of milestones- finishing our move (and then moving and finishing our second move), our first night out in the city, our first drive home for the holidays, and now, our first blizzard.

Boston is a very romantic city. And Back Bay (where we live) is probably the most beautiful part. So, when the city nearly shuts down and there is over a foot of fluffy white snow on the ground, there is nothing more special than a long walk and a delicious peppermint hot chocolate.

The necessities- 1) a down coat with a big collar (you need a nook to shove your face in when the wind blows). This Prada coat is the right balance of fashion and warmth. The metallic color and cinched waste makes me not feel like I'm in a sleeping bag, but still feel properly attired for a blizzard situation. 2) some serious boots- classic Uggs just won't cut it here, you need a lug rubber sole that's fully waterproof and heavily insulated. These Burberry boots are a Boston staple for me.
